We had an amazing vacation, the condo was great! It was our first time to Maui and we loved the location and the property. The deck is larger than I was expecting and it was amazing to drink our coffee and have breakfast out there each day. We were not impressed with Vacasa the rental company, they were not helpful at all and we had a very difficult time checking in after traveling for 12+ hours with 2 young kids. We could not get through to anyone to give us the code, the 24/7 phone number they tell you to call was out of service, every person I talked to hung up on us, and we weren’t able to check in until I called booking.com directly who was finally able to assist it. Vacasa was not aware of what items were in the condo, so after I asked and was told they didn’t have beach chairs, or sand toys or a cooler I rented them, but the condo did have them. They also would not let us check out 1 hour later. My family stayed at the same hotel but with a different management company and they went above and beyond. So while we did have a wonderful trip, I would not re book if Vacasa was still managing. But for a family of 4, the location and the condo was fabulous. But to be paying 3500 for a week it seems bare minimum to be able to check in on time, have an inventory of what’s in the property, and be able to get in touch with someone if/when you need help. Hope that makes sense ! We loved having dukes close by, the pools were gorgeous, the beach was beautiful (it gets deep quick)! We would love to come back and book a different condo at the same property with a different management company company.
